This class combines cardio and strength exercises with a whole body conditioning approach. With a combined range of exercise techniques like floor work, aerobics, weights and resistance band exercises you are guaranteed a full body workout. This class is suitable for all abilities and can be adapted to incorporate chair based work.
Pilates is a form of exercise that concentrated on strengthening the body with an emphasis on the core. This helps to improve overall fitness and general well-being. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on balance, posture and flexibility. Classes are suitable for all levels and can be tailored for both chair bases or mat work.
Qigong is a mind, body standing exercise that uses breath and movement to move energy around the body, increase energy and enable the body to heal itself. During the 45 mins we focus on a movement for each of our 12 organs to re-set our clock.  The movements stretch out the meridians for each organ and also massage the physical organs resulting in an overall feeling of openness in the body and increased balance.

This class is based seated on a chair, some poses involve standing and using the back of the chair for balance. The movements are basic seated stretches which focus on both upper and lower body and will be familiar to those participants that have attended a normal yoga class. There is a small focus on strength, but the main objective is to increase mobility and flexibility without having to get up and down from the ground, which makes yoga more accessible to those that might feel dizzy, nauseous when doing so, or that are feeling frail and in recovery from illness.
